Bel Canto Senior Singers welcomes seniors of all abilities, without auditions, and is led by professional conductors.
We offer free to low-cost memberships, workshops, and scholarships, with in-person and virtual rehearsals and performances with an expanded reach through new partnerships like St. Ann's Center, focusing on aging adults, mental health, and socio-emotional well-being through music, and collaborating with community arts organizations.
All concerts are free to the public!

A typical rehearsal begins with gentle stretching and vocal warm-ups, and the bulk of rehearsal is spent learning the music that will be performed at the semester-end concert (Fall or Spring). Rehearsals are weekly and run 1.5 hours long.
A wide variety of music is sung including classical, gospel, Broadway tunes, folk songs and familiar selections from the Great American Songbook .

- Learn basic musical concepts and practice good singing technique
- Minimal $30 membership fee per semester (scholarships available upon request)
- Virtual rehearsal open to all singers (Zoom link sent to all who register)
- COVID Policy for Southwest (formerly New Berlin) and Northeast (formerly Mequon) groups for Spring 2024:
- Regarding COVID and other contagious viruses: The Bel Canto Organization asks singers to agree to these precautions and thanks you for your kind care of one another through the pandemic and as we look ahead.
- Stay home when not feeling well. The Zoom recording will be available later.
- Get tested if experiencing COVID symptoms and contact us if you have a positive result. Bel Canto Senior Singers will notify choir members if they've been exposed, however, individuals will not be identified.
- After a positive COVID test, Bel Canto asks you to follow the CDC guidelines for safely returning to rehearsal. Isolation and Precautions for people with COVID | CDC
- Senior Singers are welcome to wear masks, but masks are not required.

Bel Canto Senior Singers Southwest (formerly known as New Berlin Senior Singers) rehearse on Mondays, 1:00 - 2:30 pm, starting August 26th.
