Jessi Kolberg
Collaborative Pianist
Ms. Jessi Kolberg is a Milwaukee-area musician and collaborative pianist with extensive experience performing with choirs, symphonies, instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers throughout southeastern Wisconsin and beyond, including performances across the United States and internationally. She graduated with honors from Wisconsin Lutheran College with degrees in Piano Performance, Vocal Performance, and Church Music.
Jessi has served as accompanist for the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy since 2003 and as a staff accompanist at Alverno College since 2011. She regularly accompanies the Ozaukee Chorus, Wisconsin Gospellers, and the Milwaukee Chamber Choir, and frequently collaborates independently for other choir concerts, studio recitals, and competitions. She has performed with the Kenosha, Menomonee Falls, Lake County, and Kettle Moraine Symphony Orchestras, as well as Symphony 847.
As a vocalist, Jessi has performed with the Bel Canto Chorus, Choral Artists, Milwaukee Chamber Choir, and Canticum Novum, and has appeared as a soloist for the National Anthem at local sporting events. She can also be seen playing violin with the acoustic rock duo The Nightinjails.
In addition to her performing career, Jessi teaches piano, organ, voice, and violin privately at Wisconsin Lutheran High School and Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. She also serves as the full-time organist at Loving Shepherd Lutheran Church in Brown Deer. Jessi and her husband, Austin, reside in Wauwatosa.
Jessi is excited to join the Bel Canto Chorus as Collaborative Pianist this fall and looks forward to bringing her love of choral music and collaborative performance to the ensemble.
